Microlok II Installation and Maintenance

This hands on training course provides the skills and knowledge to install and maintain Microlok II computer based interlockings.  

We ensure that all students have the opportunity to learn about the equipment as well as perform basic installation and maintenance tasks including wire crimping, accessing board information, downloading and interpreting logs.

Practical Training

During this course you will use our Microlok II equipment to apply your learning and practice your new skills.

Rail Operator Accepted

This course is accepted by rail operators across Australia and can be used as evidence towards obtaining your Statement of Competency for Metro Trains Melbourne (MTM) and Australian Rail Track Corporation (ARTC).

Intermediate Level

Our Microlok II Installation and Maintenance training course has been developed for students with a sound knowledge of railway signalling principles, including the theory of interlockings.   It is suitable for individuals who are qualified signal technicians or signal electricians looking to gain specialised knowledge in Microlok II equipment.

Whether you are familiar with the system and require formal training for your statement of competency (SoC) or have never worked on the Microlok II before, this course will improve your knowledge, skills and confidence.
All students will have the opportunity to connect to our custom-built training Microlok II unit to complete maintenance, access system information and download logs.
