Ruggedcom Maintenance

This hands on training course provides the skills and knowledge to maintain Ruggedcom vital communications equipment including the RS400. 

Students will be provided with a basic understanding of networking principles and internet protocol as well as serial communications. 

Practical Training

During this course, each student will have access to a Ruggedcom RS400 unit, connected in a network.  They will use a laptop to communicate with the unit, change basic configuration settings and download logs.

Industry Accepted

This course is accepted by rail operators across Australia and can be used as evidence towards obtaining your Statement of Competency.

Introductory Level

Our Ruggedcom Maintenance training course has been developed for signal electricians and engineers with limited communications and networking knowledge.

This course is a 1-day face to face training course.

This short course provides maintainers with the knowledge and tools they need to complete first line maintenance of Ruggedcom equipment in railway signalling locations.
The training is delivered to small groups (maximum 6 attendees), and each student is provided with access to an RS400, laptop and cables to complete practical activities during the training.
